A HERO
In the legendary times of legends there were a country called Cholbon. Cholbon was a large and richest nation on the face of the earth and her people lived in peace and harmony. Her land was fertile and suitable for any kind of crops. Actually, Cholbon people regarded themselves as the blessed and luckiest people in the world.
Suddenly, things turned upside down! A small tribe outside Cholbon emerged and became much powerful than her! The tribe invaded and overthrew Cholbon’s power and glory. They formed a country called Han.
Together with Cholbon, many surrounding nations were invaded and became Hans territory. But one country remained untouched, the country was called Buyeo.
During the war, many Cholbon men died and those who escaped dearth became migrants and slaves of Han. They were whipped and humiliated. Han became the powerful nation in the world as Cholbon disappeared in the world map.
Among few warriors of Cholbon who escaped dearth, was a man called Haemosu! He was a great warrior and master of archers, he was a highly respected man and HERO.
Haemosu planned a Great mission of rescuing migrants to restore the glory of Cholbon. Together with few migrants who believed and decided to follow him, he formulated and became the commander of Dae Mool Army and started guerrilla war with Han.
Geumwa was a prince of Buyeo and best friend of Haemossu since childhood. Prince Geumwa agreed to help Commander Haemossu in rescuing the migrants and rebuilding the lost nation. Both Prince Geumwa and Commander Haemossu became Great Comrades.
Commander Haemossu became a bitter storm and great enemy of Han for so long. Many of the Han warriors were killed and the rescued migrants were joining Dae Mool Army.
Fearing of being invaded by Han for supporting Commander Haemossu, the Emperor and prime minister of Buyeo plotted a plan of killing him without Geumwa’s concern. Though they failed to kill him, but their plans half succeeded because Commander Haemossu fell into Han’s hands who severely tortured him, removed his eyes and finally locked up in Buyeo’s secret jail for life imprisonment. Twenty years later, the two princes of Emperor Geumwa (Prince Taeso and Prince Youngpo) killed him following the order given by the Prime minister and offered his head to Han in exchange for salt!
General Jumong was a son of Commander Haemossu who realized the Great mission of his father, rescued the migrants and established a powerful and richest nation down the sun. the nation was called Goguryeo. (END OF NARRATION)
Though he died a miserable death, Haemossu was a Hero.
Because she was not invaded by Han, Buyeo country was a Winner.
Because they defeated Cholbon, Han country was a Winner.
Because Buyeo’s Emperor managed to stop Haemossu’s mission, he became a Winner.
Because the two princes killed Haemossu, they became Winners.
Because he fulfilled the Great mission of his father, Jumong was a Hero.
Heroes may or may not finish their missions by themselves, they may get expelled or even killed without fulfilling their goals but to be fulfilled by another Hero, BUT
Winners always fulfill their missions by themselves.
Heroes may not recognized themselves as being Heroes, its because of the great things they do that make people treat them as Heroes. BUT winners do.
Heroes live according to their CHARACTER. They are less concerned about things like prestige though they deserve prestige, live a normal life though they are famous, they relate to people, they reach out people, they listen to people, they serve people. BUT
Winners live according to their REPUTATION. They drive their lives in a show like style, they may not deserve prestige but they live prestigious life, they may not be famous but they live famous life, they may be poor but pretend to live luxurious life, they stay away from people and like classes.
Heroes FEAR, they are less words and sometimes feel shy. They afraid to start a fight but once started, NO ONE can stop them until they fulfill their mission BUT Winners are COWARD, they are much talkative, good in campaigning and easy to start a fight but at the middle of the fight they afraid and may run away without fulfilling their mission. (FEAR means afraid to start, COWARD means afraid to continue.)
Heroes play a fair game, they are competent, conscious, coordinated, committed, cooperate with people, and follow systematic ways to fulfill their missions BUT
Winners play a rough game, they may use any method whether legal or illegal, whether fair play or forgery just to win the game.
Heroes are recognized during the game BUT Winners are recognized at the end of the game.
Winners play a planned game with rules and regulations already formulated, they are highly protected and at the end of the game they are proudly rewarded BUT
Heroes formulate their own paths, follow their own rules and regulations and face unprotected dangers and at the end of the game they may be rewarded or rejected.
Heroes’ happiness stays forever. They struggle once to fulfill their mission BUT
Winners’ happiness is short lived. They became happy when they win and when another competition come, they struggle again to become winners.
At the beginning, Heroes are rejected and may look insane or crazy in the eyes of the community, a catalyst who want to destroy the society but in the long run he is greatly accepted, receives many hello and become a cornerstone of the society’s success. BUT
Winners are accepted early in the beginning , calmly welcomed with clapped hands but may be rejected in the long run and carry names of insane or crazy who betrayed the society.
Heroes challenge things, ask why, look for unusual solutions to ordinary problems and ordinary solutions for unusual problems. They believe that there is no absolutely (hundred percent) right and wrong answers in life, but some answers come closer to be ‘truthful’ than others BUT Winners seem not to be bothered by those, they only focus on their goals.
Winners are always studying, they know nothing extra rather than MG, AF,LW,CE and DS. BUT Heroes seem to know all those and something more, they join clubs and student associations, they read magazines, newspapers and listen to current news about national and global matters.
Heroes are always separated from the people they love, and sometimes they may end up on loosing them just for the sake of protecting and defending something they believe is right. BUT Winners are too soft hearted, they cant bear loosing their beloved ones just for the sake of winning the game.
People neither wish nor plan to be Heroes, they find themselves being heroes without even realizing themselves. These are extraordinary people who are born as normal people, live with people but suddenly change into being extraordinary ones. BUT
Winners wish to be. These are just ordinary people who make plans and decide to dedicate their lives in artificially extraordinary way and end up on being artificially extraordinary people.
The war of the Winner is the war to WIN. They use all of their skills just to win the battle regardless of the cost incurred and the loss generated from such a war, and when they win they celebrate for success. BUT
The war of the Hero is the war to DEFEAT. To him, winning the game is not a priority but just the outcome. “You are not defeated until you accept defeat as a reality and stop going on” that’s how Heroes believe. They may loose the game but always difficult to accept such a loss as a defeat.
Winners make decisions that resemble people’s expectations, they do exactly with what people expected but excellently than what they expected. In other words, winners are those who go beyond people’s expectations but in the same direction. BUT
Heroes go quite oppositely from what people expected, they count alphabetically when people expected them to write numerically, they laugh and make an extra move when people expected them to cry and quit the journey, they defeat fear and decide to launch an attack when people expected them to join the enemy, they make a shout when people expected them to remain silence.
Winners have a lot of friends. Many are good friends but many are bad friends as well, many want to help him so that he can be a winner again and again but also many want to discover the secret of his success so that they can defeat him and take over the chance. As they pass in the streets people smile at them, as they say hello to them, they get countless orders of “welcome home/room please” BUT
Heroes seem to be isolated from all those. They have few friends and sometimes no friends at all except themselves. They are surrounded with countless number of enemies everywhere, people who he/she believed the most run away from him/her saying “we don’t know this Man/Woman!” , as they pass in the streets people laugh at them, as they say hello to them, they get countless words of “go away you looser!”
When you make friendships with Winners you invite recognition and famousness for the time being but NOTHING in the long run. BUT When you make friendships with Heroes you invite troubles and sacrifices for the time being but respect and honor in the long run.
Heroes are dangerous people who should never show up themselves until the time tells, these are RARE people who appear once after a long time have passed just to fulfill something left undone or correct the mistakes done.
Always learn to be a hero because all heroes end of being WINNERS but not all winners end of being HEROES.
